Report: 4th time on lake Austin and have never been disappointed. Walleye 15-20 inches all day long all over the lake, some 23-27 inches not unusual. 1st day fished off the dock and caught all the walleye we wanted too. Accomodations are wonderful. Adams's provide exceptional services. Coming back in 2012.

Report: Fishing was very good. One day, on the smaller lake down river was amazing. So many walleye, and many pike also. Largest fish of the week, 40 inch pike. The cabin improvements were great. The generator and such will attract different type of goups. Saw a big bull moose as well. Overall: A great experience.

Report: The cabin was great, and everything worked very well. The weather was excellent and we found fish wherever we went. A few spots where non-stop action. Biggest walleye 23 inches and numerous 20-22 inches. Pike 32 inches.

Report: Great cabin. Low water levels, so fishing was a challenge at times, but we ate fish the whole time. North portage was good with canoe access due to low water. Largest northern 38 inches, walleye 19 inches. Equipment fine. Great weather. Saw 3 caribou.

Report: Good weather. All equipment excellent. 5 fishermen caught 900 plus walleyes in 4 days. Largest walleye 27 1/2 inches. 15 walleyes 24 inches or larger. Largest pike 10 pounds. Walleyes in Fawcett were 6-12 feet of water. Gull lake, 20-28 feet of water. A good year.

Report: The cabib was great, very neat, everything worked. Weather was fine, 1 day of rain. Would liked to have caught more fish, but we always do. The fish we caught were very nice fish, very healthy. We both had a good time.

Report: Kids had a great time, caught lots of northerns and a fair amount of walleyes. Biggest northern, 2 at 36 inches, biggest walleye 25 inches. An Adventure! We even did a little swimming. Cabin, equipment all worked great. Walleyes suspended on flats, wind drift with jig tail. Northerns in cabbage in the flats on all the points. Thanks L & M, you do a great job. Report: Expecting lots of mosquetoes, etc for this time of year, we were pleasantly surprised to find nothing but a few house flies. Fishing was great as always, but most of it in the deeper water this time of year. Off the rock beds and deep drop offs but little in the shallows this time of year. Looking forward to another return trip next year. Rattle traps worked great on the pike, rapala shad raps nailed the walleye.

Report: Another great trip. Fishing was excellent. Walleyes hot. Plastic as good as live bait. Lots of 20 inch plus walleyes. Biggest 26 inches. Biggest northern 35 inches. Almost everyone caught a 34 inch northern while fishing for walleyes. Walleyes in 4-12 feet of water. Caught 3 saugers. Did the trip around Thistle Island. Was worth the effort. Saw 1 caribou calf swimming in the water.

Report: First day had a hard time catching fish small enough to eat! Fish out on the reefs on the wind blown sides in 20-30 feet of water. Water levels too low to get to other lakes with out portaging. Avg size walleye 18-20 inches, largest walleye 23 1/2 inches. No skinny walleyes in this lake.

Report: Weather windy most days, rain showers in the afternoons. Walleye active in windy swept bays and points. Caught about 200. We fished for walleye like you would fish for smallmouths. Cabin in great shape. Stove, grill, and fish cooker all worked well.

Report: Great trip. Excellent facilities! Wright lake was about 2 feet below normal water levels. Abundant walleyes 18 inch plus and 24 inch plus northerns. Rainy weather 5 of the 6 days. Some boats caught and released more then 60 fish per day. Everyone will stimulate the local economies upon our return home due to massive loss of tackle!!

Report: The cabin was excellent. The fishing was excellent except when the north winds came up. Our biggest northern was 36 inches that won the prize. We had 3 people in our group catch walleyes 26 inches. It seemed over half the walleyes caught where bigger than 18 inches and over. We saw deer, moose, grouse, eagles, and muskrats. We caught northerns, walleye, sauger, perch, and one red horse. Forest fires made for acouple of interesting days. Smoke and ash falling was heavy. But the fishing was great. Camp was great as usaul. Thanks Larry and Mary for a great trip. We'll be back next year.

Report: 1st trip to Dobie. Unusually warm water temp, 75 degrees. Extremely hot weather and no wind until the last day. Walleye action was hot and heavy. Avg size 17-20 inches. Caught hundreds of walleye in the main lake. Jig fishing 10-25 feet of water and trolling lipless cranchbaits worked fantastic. Many walleyes suspended. Big northerns already gone deep and not active. They were not in the weeds, likely the warm weather moved them out deeper to the rocks and main lake points. Largest northern caught 40 inches. However, personally witnessed 50 inch ++ huge northern. Hooked and had beside the boat 3 times and could not land it. Biggest northern I have ever seen in over 20 fly in trips!!! It was a absolute monster. Great outfitter. As always, L & M does an excellent job and the facilities were great!

Report: Cabin, boats, motors all worked great! Walleye fishing was good. largest walleye 28 1/2 inches. Largest northern 39 inches. Each boat averaged 75-100 fish per day. Weather was sunny and windy all 7 days. Thanks to Larry, Mary, Shane, and Travis! We also had a visit from 12 girls that embarked on a 40 day canoe trip passing through. What a sight to see to be in the middle of Canada fishing and have 12 girls canoe up to you enjoying mother nature and Canada!!!

Report: Unbelievable lake, the wife and I went through 30 doz minnows in 3 days. We caught 173 walleyes off 2 reefs in 1 day! Biggest walleye 23 1/2 inches. Caught 403 walleyes and 30 northerns of which most were caught in 3 days. 3 days of good conditions and 3 days tuff fishing due to weather. Flights, cabin. boats, and everything top notch!!! The Adams family is A#1.

Report: Great weather all week with rain only on Thursday. The fishing was good most days with as many walleye as you want from 14-17 inches. Not many big fish this trip, with only 1, 23 inch and 1, 24 inch walleyes. Northern pike were alittle slow until the last day. Caught 1 @ 31 inch, 1 @ 33 inch, 1 @ 35 inch. Portage to Strout and Kaminskag was an adventure! L & M did a super job as always! This makes out 13th year in a row. Thank You!!

Report: Great lake for pike and walleye. Caught lots of pike. Fish house was very convenient. Mary and Larry were very helpful in preparing for the trip. The only issues we had were 1) No anchors in boats 2) Ovens didnt work and we had food prepared for the oven. Note from L & M: Plan on having the oven issue resolved ASAP and the anchors we do not supply. Rock and rope works well for a boat anchor. Update: 7/5/2011, oven issue resolved, oven replaced.

Report: 1,358 walleyes. 39 over 20 inches. Several extra large northerns. 39" and 2 at 36". Largest walleye was 27 7/8 inches caught by Dale. Lots of fun and everything was great with the cabin and equipment. Guys are fill or bust champions. At the dock Larry asked "how was your trip?" Our reply, "how can you not have a great trip?"

Report: Steve caught the biggest fish. Steve is clearly the superior fisherman in the group. He caught the most fish too. Perch rapala's worked well for Steve. Steve said that yellow twister tails where hot. Northerns in the weeds. Walleyes off the reefs and shorelines. We saw 3 moose too.

Report: Had a great trip! Walleyes where shallow. Fished from 3-8 feet of water. Caught hundreds. Just the wife and I on this trip. Walleyes hit anything you put on. Find a hole and catch them on every cast. Fishing here is alot like one of Wright lake portages, Strout Lake. Very shallow lake and lots of walleye. Largest pike 37 inches. Wildlife, Moose and Bear on the drive up to Dryden, and saw a Woodland Caribou and Grouse with 4 chicks at the lake. Thanks again Adams Family. Will see you again in August to try Fawcett Lake.

Report: Trip was outstanding. Weather was great, fishing was even better. Walleyes avg 20 inch with many in 23+ inch range. They were like footballs. Pike fishing was good with 5 over 30 inches, largest 2 at 37 inches. Strout trip was well worth the effort. Rapids provided challenge but we were worse for the wear. Shorelunch was great. Great camp, everything worked good. No big northerns but caught lots. Rapapa and x-raps trolling worked good. Along with spinner rigs and jigs.

Report: Fishing was great each day. Lots of fish in the 6-8 foot of water and at the inlets. Very healthy, good fighting fish. Good size walleye everyday and everyone caught some good sized northerns. Accomodations were out standing.

Report: Great walleye fishing. Fish still in rivers in the deeper holes. Jigs and minnows or leeches worked. Rapala's and other stick baits trolling and casting in rapids. Mostly anchored while fishing walleye. Avg 17-20 inches, largest weighed 6 pounds. Several northern, biggest 33", 34", and 36".

Report: If you like walleye fishing this is the lake, we caught 100's everyday. We saw a great variety of wildlife also. Bear, Moose, Beaver, Otters, pair of Eagles with young in the nest, ducks, and lone goose. Most walleyes in the 15-17 inch size with the largest 21 inches.

Report: Lots of fish still in the river near the cabin, but moving into lake. Largest north a 32 incher. "Mike the Mailer" reeled in a 24 inch "eye". Weather hot with a little rain one morning. Full moon and campfires were perfect with Jack and Daniels. Cabin, boats, and equipment top notch as usual. Thanks Larry, Mary, and Shane.

Report: Caught astronomical number of small mouth on every lure in the box. Northern in incredible numbers in Highrock. Many over 30 inches, one over 42 inches. Caught big smallies too! Walleye good in the evenings in North part of Fishtrap. Overall a wonderful trip. Great cabin, good people.

Report: Thank you Larry, Mary, and Shane! Absolutely a beautiful week, weather in the 70's and 80's. Un believable fishing! At one spot, we would catch 16-23 inch walleyes every cast. Another time, sat on the dock one evening and caught many 12-18 inch walleyes. Largest northern 34 inches, largest walleye 25 inches with serveral 23 inches. I have never caught fish like this in 40 years.

Report: Fabulous walleye fishing in big numbers at anytime of the day. Caught 3 large northerns between 32-38 inches. Cabin is very nicely equiped with new generator. Report: Caught plenty of walleye, biggest 26 inches. Most where in the river areas. Pike fishing alittle slow, still caught several. Largest 31 inches. Water temp ranged 53-60 degree's. Ate alot of fish, gained 10 pounds in 7 days.

Report: Fishing was good at Graniteboss mouth but not in the main lake. Kaminiskag was slow but the walleye where big. If you wanted to fill the stringer just go to the river around the corner from the cabin and the big bay on the east side of the lake where best this year. Fishing here is always great every year. Caught 3 northerns over 40 inches and it was hard at times to find walleyes small enough to eat.

Report: Excellent walleye numbers ranging from 14-23 inches for all 5 days. Northerns were spotty, but brought in a 42 inch and 44 inch pike. Had 8 guys on our trip and all were very pleased with the fishing, camp conditions, and equipment. Had the game warden stop in to check things out as well.

Report: Fishing was good. The wind change alot and we always found the spot to catch fish. Saw no trophies but caught more than our share of fish. Beautiful setting. Cabin was great, no issues with any of the equipment. New motors ran well once we figured out how the tilt system worked along with the portage motor working flawlessley. Over all, excellent expirience.

Report: Great cabin, wonderful set up. Plenty of walleye and pike at the 1st set of rapids by the cabin. Alot of walleye in the 20 inch range. Caught one monster 44 inch pike, caught on 6 pound test line fishing for walleyes. John for the first time used his fly rod and caught both walleyes and northerns using it which was great. Report: "REGULARY" caught lots of big fish!! Biggest fish, caught 2, 42 inch northerns. Caught 1, 27 inch walleye. Lots of walleye in the 21-24 inch range. Weather was a bit dicey with temps from 25-70 degrees. Facilities were perfect and new mattresses kicked butt!! Woodchuck, Raven, and Seagulls ate well thanks to our senior citizons, and most notably "the velveten Rabbit"!!

Report: Fishing was excellent morning, noon, and evening. Best area's where east and west of the dock, and also across the lake at the other end. Largest fish, Caught 2 pike 41 inches and caught blue walleyes too. Caught so many walleyes it was hard to carry a conversation with the other guy in the boat. Tried not catching walleyes by putting large northern baits on and still caught walleyes.

Report: Another great trip with L & M. Beautiful cabin, excellent boats and motors. Arrive on Saturday May 21, weather low 70's cloudy and windy. Went to the river south of the cabin by the rapids and caught ALOT of walleyes. Sunday May 22, another nice day cloudy and windy. Highes in the 60's. Fished the river to the south of the cabin and caught hundreds of walleye. Monday May 23, cold and heavy fog in the am, with off and on rain all day still caught alot of walleyes. Tuesday May 24, cold with rain and snow mix, best fishing day so far we were catching walleye on every drop. Wed, May 25. Went to the river at the north end of the lake, again caught alot of walleyes, we went as far as the rapids. Nice trip. Thursday May 26, weather alot nice and clear with 50's for temps. Today the fishing got harder but still caught fish. Friday May 27th trip ends, time to go home.

Report: Everything was great, except the weather. This was our first time at Austin. Unfortunately a medical issue at home required that we leave our trip earily. The weather was basically cold and misty with wind during our short time at Austin. We were leaving the lake just as started to find good fishing spots. The day we left the weather turned nice. Cabin and equipment are very good. The Adams' are great people.

Report: Sunny and breezy for 3 days. Fishing was very good for the 2 of us (husband/wife trip). Largest walleye 28 inches caught by Marianne. Several in the 23-25 inches. First day fishing we caught over 150 walleyes in the river by the cabin.
